The Business Theory Behind Riello UPS

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Riello UPS has managed to build and consistently maintain a strong reputation within the uninterruptible power supply and power protection industry for well over a decade. It is of interest, then, to look into exactly how that reputation was built and how it is maintained. It purely comes down to the consistancy of manufacturing good high quality products.

In the realm of uninterruptible power supply providers, there’s a fascinating back and forth between clients and manufacturers. Putting your product out there on the market and expecting your job to be finished is something that all good companies will not do. Reillo UPS has made rather a habit of providing UPS as a service as opposed to a product.

Both company and clients can receive many benefits from this approach. With this kind of company you will get unlimited power supply and the support from the company that you need. In the second instance, Reillo UPS are prepared to take on board ideas from major clients and to take them forward in order to improve either on their existing products or to come up with something new; either way they are out to make customers happy and proud. There is a definite evolution for Reillo services and products through this process.

Riello UPS is considered to be one of the top manufacturers of UPS power supplies and one of the best providers of service. Their simple devotion to the idea of making their clients happy, is their key to success. In other words, what every company should be practicing, but which few companies do.

Reillo UPS has steadily been developing the technology and methods they employ in designing and installing their products through the accounts they hold with groups like the Beijing Airport and the UK and US government organisations. While the development side of this largely occurs with the big clients, rather than, say, the small business owner backing up their free Wifi service, the benefits eventually trickle down to anyone who uses Riello UPS products and services.

Ingenius plans and gimmicks, are not what make Reillo UPS one of the leading brands, it’s simply down to a degree of consideration for their clients, which is something you rarely see these days.

In any line of business, a line is drawn quite clearly between two different types of companies. There are those who think of what they do as manufacturing products, and those who think of what they do as providing a service. Riello UPS has become one of the top brands in the UPS industry because they provide not only a power solutions product, but a service, and that is precisely what sets them apart.

APC Batteries - Do They Last Long?

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

For many, an APC battery may be the cornerstone of their workstation. This is particularly true when your primary ups power supply is, in fact, less than entirely reliable. For example, those living in areas that experience regular storms. Knowing when your battery needs replacing is important; if you do not know, then you are left in a very insecure, vunerable position. This article looks to provide you with a simple guide on how to keep your APC batteries in check.

Always play safe, is an important tip to remember when relying on APC batteries to keep your computer, network or work station up and running. You should be willing and ready, in other words, to replace your APC batteries before they expire, rather than after.

An APC battery is meant to be used as an emergency power supply, and as such, different rules apply than if you were talking about some double A batteries for your remote control. Changing the channel on the TV can hardly be classed as an emergency situation so replacing the batteries in the remote can be done when they actually run out.

Whether you think the battery has expired or not, APC batteries need to be replaced at regular intervals; this is as important as replacing the batteries, for e.g. in your smoke detector. It might or might not be expired. In the event of a fire, if it’s still working, it might save your life, but the only way of finding out it does not work is by having it fail to make a noise when there is a fire.

As a rough guideline the best way to go about replacing your APC battery is to use the warranty. The only way to stay in business these days, is to sell a product that lasts beyond the warranty; let’s face it, if you find yourself living up to every warranty you issue then you will not be in business long. Once the warranty runs out, you can usually expect the battery to be reliable for some time after, but it’s wise to replace it as soon as is convenient.

The warranty, then, can be seen as a “minimum possible performance” guideline. A well made APC battery will almost certainly last longer than the warranty, but it is only guaranteed to last as long as the warranty.

In general, most reputable APC battery manufacturers and retailers will offer a one year warranty. One year is the average livespan of an APC replacement battery, that is, if you want it to be reliable, but you will find some companies offer shorter or longer warranties.

In short, treat your emergency power supply like your emergency safety kit. The batteries in your flashlight might still be okay, but if they’ve been in there for a year, the last thing you want is to find out they’re dead when a hurricane knocks your power out. Have power solutions to hand for your ups system before anything major goes wrong.
