How often should I replace my RBC11 batteries

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Using backup ups power supplies can be a life saver for anyone working on a workstation or a home computer, but the risk is still there if you wait too long to replace your RBC batteries. Making sure your batteries do not reach the end of their life cycle when you need them the most is really important, so this article looks at how often your batteries should be replaced. The warranty is a rough guideline really, that gives you an indication of keeping your batteries fresh at all times.

It’s a good idea to replace your batteries once a year, especially if your backup power supply uses RBC11 batteries.

You can never know how the long the lifespan of your battery actually is, and although they will probably last longer than a year, it is safe not to assume. When you are relying on a battery to provide you with emergency backup power, it is better to play safe, so err on the side of caution. In truth, batteries can last anything between one and two years but you definitely do not want it to let you down when you need it the most. A one year warranty is usually offered by most battery manufacturers and retailers, purely because you can only really safely rely on your RBC11 for one year.

Replacing batteries on a regular basis in your emergency flashlight, is comparable. Don’t wait until lightening strikes your generator to find out whether or not the batteries in your flashlight are in good condition; surely you will have peace of mind knowing they are in good condition when something really goes wrong. Protecting your power ware is very important.

Before buying your new RBC11 battery, make sure to take a look at your current battery and write down the specifications. Be extremely careful when ordering your RBC11 batteries, as manufacturers do have a habit of changing the specifications without notice. Your spec on the unit maybe totally different when you visit the manufacturers website. The battery does not fit, is the most common complaint registered with battery retailers. This is probably due to the change in specifications which retailers do not tell us about. When this occurs, shipping the mismatched battery back to the retailer and buying the correct size is usually a responsibility given to the buyer, so make sure you’re not wasting postage and handling money by ordering the wrong size battery.

When purchasing your ups, make sure you buy from a retailer who offers safe battery disposal. Your old battery cannot simply be put in the bin because it contains various acids and leads. When you are buying your battery, just check with the supplier to see if they have a disposal plan in place. Sometimes they allow you to send your old battery back to them in the box that your new battery came in. This will save you time if they do, as you will find yourself searching the phonebook otherwise.

It merely comes down to the fact, that over time, your batteries must be remain fresh. APC batteries will, eventually, expire, so just make sure that you replace them before that happens, and not after. Your ups systems are an investment, so take note of the advice.

The Business Theory Behind Riello UPS

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Riello UPS has managed to build and consistently maintain a strong reputation within the uninterruptible power supply and power protection industry for well over a decade. It is of interest, then, to look into exactly how that reputation was built and how it is maintained. It purely comes down to the consistancy of manufacturing good high quality products.

In the realm of uninterruptible power supply providers, there’s a fascinating back and forth between clients and manufacturers. Putting your product out there on the market and expecting your job to be finished is something that all good companies will not do. Reillo UPS has made rather a habit of providing UPS as a service as opposed to a product.

Both company and clients can receive many benefits from this approach. With this kind of company you will get unlimited power supply and the support from the company that you need. In the second instance, Reillo UPS are prepared to take on board ideas from major clients and to take them forward in order to improve either on their existing products or to come up with something new; either way they are out to make customers happy and proud. There is a definite evolution for Reillo services and products through this process.

Riello UPS is considered to be one of the top manufacturers of UPS power supplies and one of the best providers of service. Their simple devotion to the idea of making their clients happy, is their key to success. In other words, what every company should be practicing, but which few companies do.

Reillo UPS has steadily been developing the technology and methods they employ in designing and installing their products through the accounts they hold with groups like the Beijing Airport and the UK and US government organisations. While the development side of this largely occurs with the big clients, rather than, say, the small business owner backing up their free Wifi service, the benefits eventually trickle down to anyone who uses Riello UPS products and services.

Ingenius plans and gimmicks, are not what make Reillo UPS one of the leading brands, it’s simply down to a degree of consideration for their clients, which is something you rarely see these days.

In any line of business, a line is drawn quite clearly between two different types of companies. There are those who think of what they do as manufacturing products, and those who think of what they do as providing a service. Riello UPS has become one of the top brands in the UPS industry because they provide not only a power solutions product, but a service, and that is precisely what sets them apart.

What Life Span Should APC Batteries Have

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

For many, an APC replacment batteries may be the cornerstone of their workstation. This is particularly true when your primary power supply is, in fact, not too reliable. For example, people living in places that experience frequent storms. You may be left feeling un secure, though, if you don’t know how long your APC battery will last. Here we try to help you keep your APc.

It is very important to remember when you rely on APC batteries to keep your work station, home computer or network up and running is to always play it safe. So basically this means that you should be ready and willing to replace your APC batteries before they run out, and not after.

An APC battery is meant to be used as an emergency power supply, and as such, different rules apply than if you were talking about some double A batteries for your remote control. You can wait until your remote control batteries run out before you replace them, because not being able to change the channel is hardly an emergency situation.

APC batteries need to be replaced regularly just as you would regularly replace the 9 volt battery in your smoke detector, whether you know the battery to be expired or not. It might have run out, or it might not be. If it is still working, it might save your life in the event of a fire, but if it is not, then the only way to find out is to have the smoke detector fail to make a sound when there is a fire.

The best way to go about replacing your APC batteries is to use the warranty as a rough guideline. Most APC batteries will last beyond the warranty, simply because that’s the only way to stay in business (you won’t last long in any industry if you find yourself living up to every warranty you issue). You can usually expect the battery to be reliable for some time after the warranty runs out, but it’s probably for the best that you replace it s soon as is convenient.

The warranty, then, can be held as a minimum life span. If an APC battery is made to high standard it will almost certainly last longer than the warranty, but it’s only guaranteed to last as long as the warranty.

In general, most reputable APC battery manufacturers and retailers will offer a one year warranty. Some may have shorter or longer warranties, but one year is the usually considered to be as long as the average APC replacement battery should be expected to last with any degree of reliability.

So basically , treat your emergency power supply as if it was you emergency safety kit. The batteries in your flashlight might still be okay, but if they have been in there for a year, the last thing you want is to find out they are dead when a hurricane knocks your power out.

Shopping For Uninterruptible Power Supplies

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

To many PC users, UPS are a key tool in their office or home work station. To others, the entire idea of a USP seems too complicated and expensive to get into. Here we attempt to put that myth to rest. Buying yourself a UPS can, in fact, be a easy, inexpensive and simple process, as well as an investment.

While home computer users may be able to neglect the need for an uninterruptible power supply and only experience minimal repercussions for it, anyone who is in charge of maintaining a communications network or workstations at the office would be unwise to go without a UPS.
Sooner or later, there will be a problem. Either a power outage, a surge, or a blown fuse. In any event, problems with your power supply can destroy an entire day’s worth of work, or worse, destroy the workstations themselves. All it takes is bad timing and a power surge and your hard drive could be completely fried. Its also the same for those who run communication networks. If you’re running a Wifi hotspot at your coffee shop and it goes out, there’s a good chance that your customers will find somewhere else to get their work done.

A UPS, then, serves as an insurance policy against these expected occurrences. While some are reluctant to make the investment, it will probably save you quite a bit of money in the long run. You can obtain a basic UPS unit for under forty pounds. This is a much lower price than what you’d pay to repair a damaged computer and hire a computer recovery team to salvage whatever files they can from the hard drive.

From a financial standpoint, it is simply a question of whether you want to spend a little bit of money now, or a lot of money later, as it is not a question of whether or not you will eventually have a power related problem, but when.

If you use a reliable UPS unit, then these problems are solved for you before they ever occur. If the power does go out, even the most basic uinterruptible power supply backups will provide you with several minutes of power in order to save what you’re work on and safely shut down the computer.

In short, an USP is simply an insurance policy against the expected power problems that we all experience sooner or later, and by spending a little bit of money now, you can possibly save hundreds, if not thousands in the long run. Anybody in charge of maintaining workstations, running a Wifi network, or, really, just about anyone who relies on computers in any way shape or form in order to make a living would be making a mistake if they didn’t make the investment.

Shopping Advice for Uninterruptible Power Supplies

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

When shopping for an uninterruptible power supply you can become overwhelmed if you are new to the market. With a few simple tips, however, the process can be greatly simplified and, in fact, quite easy to get through. Even if you have never bought a UPS or power protection device, this advice should help you get the hang of it.

When you’re shopping for an uninterruptible power supply, there are a number of things to consider. Who you actually buy your UPS from, is probably just as important as who makes it.

UPS and APC batteries are something of a niche market, but that does not mean that you have to settle for just anyone who sells what you are looking for. Just as if you were buying a television set, a new car or, just about anything, you have a right to expect not only a top quality product, but a degree of customer courtesy, as well.
It’s quite probable that you will be buying from an online retailer. Again, UPS systems are something of a niche market, so there’s a good chance that there are no “bricks and mortar” shops in your area selling uninterruptible power supplies or APC batteries, but with online retailers, you have your choice of which business to support.

In looking for an online ups system and APC retailer that extends a degree of customer courtesy, you should be looking for a number of things: Fast shipping, APC battery disposal (used APC batteries need to be properly disposed of, so the better retailers will usually offer this service for you), full warranty protection, top quality brands, and, of course, low prices.

While looking for low prices is important, it is actually at the bottom of the list as far as what you should be looking for. You do not want to spend more than what a UPS or APC battery is worth, but you want to make sure you get top quality products. Rather than just looking to see who can sell you an uninterruptible power supply or an RBC5 battery for dirt cheap, you should first look for retailers who are offering good products from companies like Riello UPS and Yuasa, and then see which one is offering the lower prices on these products without having to sacrifice fast shipping and warranty protection.

Not to say that you can’t get a good, low price on a high quality product, but rather, if you’re only looking to spend the least amount of money, without also considering quality and customer service, then you can probably expect to get what you pay for. Companies like ups power supply produce uninterruptible power supplies that can be relied upon to do what they’re supposed to do in the event of a power outage, a spike, or a surge. This can’t always be guaranteed with cheaply manufactured products.
